Thinking about selling your bouncy castle?
Good. But do the maths first.
A bouncy castle you sell is gone for good. A bouncy castle you rent out earns you money year after year. Both are possible – but one of them pays off far more.
Sell it once
- Cash in hand right away
- No more effort after the sale
- Sale price usually well below the original price
- One-off payout – no repeat income
- The equipment is gone afterwards
Example: bouncy castle new price €2,500 → used sale price approx. €900–1,400. One-off.

Photos, description, dimensions, sale price. Optional: offer it for rent at the same time.
Buyers message you directly. You see every enquiry in your dashboard.
You choose who to sell to. The equipment is then automatically marked as sold.
What is your bouncy castle really worth to you?
A realistic example calculation for a mid-size bouncy castle (new price: €2,200).
| Scenario | Year 1 | Year 2 | Year 3 | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| One-off sale (€1,100) | 1.100 € | – | – | 1.100 € |
| Rental (15 × €150/year, 0% transaction commission) | 2.250,00 € | 2.250,00 € | 2.250,00 € | 6.750,00 € |
Assumption: 15 bookings at €150 per year. Actual results vary by region, equipment and utilisation.
HOPS24 does not take a percentage of your revenue. Optional add-on modules or larger listing quotas will only ever become chargeable after advance notice and an explicit order.
Frequently asked questions about selling a bouncy castle
Can I sell a bouncy castle on HOPS24 without being a rental provider?
Yes. Register as a provider, list your equipment and enable the "Offer for sale" option. You set the sale price yourself. Buyers send you an enquiry directly through the marketplace – you decide who you sell to.
What does it cost to sell a bouncy castle via HOPS24?
Listing and selling is currently commission-free. Any future paid features are planned as transparent listing packages or optional modules – never as a cut of your sale price.
What happens automatically after the sale?
As soon as you confirm a purchase enquiry, the equipment is automatically marked as no longer available and all other open enquiries for the same equipment are declined. You don't need to deactivate anything manually.
Can the buyer take over the equipment directly as a rental listing?
Yes – if the buyer is themselves a provider on HOPS24, the listing can automatically be copied into their inventory on request. This saves time and avoids entering the data twice.
What do I gain by renting instead of selling?
You sell a €2,000 bouncy castle once. The same bouncy castle rented out for €150 a weekend brings in a comparable amount from 15 bookings a year – and you still own the equipment. HOPS24 keeps no transaction commission from new bookings.
I have no experience with renting out equipment – is it complicated?
No. The dashboard supports you with your listing, calendar and customer enquiries. You arrange the contract, payment, hand-over and invoicing directly with your customer.
Can I rent out and offer for sale at the same time?
Yes. You can activate both at once. As long as no purchase enquiry is confirmed, the equipment remains available for rent. Only once a sale is confirmed is it automatically removed from your rental listings.
What do I need to get started?
Just a provider registration, photos of the equipment, a short description and your desired price. No monthly fees, no minimum volume.
